Sorry I didn't say Sorry...

Windows closed...silent tears...
Pictures on the wall...solitary pain..
Memories haunt...words unspoken...
Hearts broken...time frozen...
Didn't say...what I had to say...
Take me away...to that darkest day...
Back in time...for a little while...
Forever we think...this life lingers...
A time too short...we never wonder...
I wont say it...just why should I...
I'm not wrong...I'm always right...
A cracked mirror...can't be mended...
But through it's face...we can still be pictured...
Glances passed...pride inside...
So I froze...only for a while...
A Winters night...and it all ended...
Emptiness lingers...forever darkness...
Where there was comfort...pain now dances...
Wrath and ego...kept me insane...
A simple word..had I spoken...
Destiny, could I have changed?

Could you change Destiny? No. Of course not. That’s why it is call destiny. It’s destined. But what you should be asking is if the events in your past were destined in the first place, not if you could have changed destiny. And to go further, keep your eyes open to the future through the hints of the present, as knowing what has been only matters if we apply it, now, to get the future closest to what WE want destiny to be. Because destiny, like all reality, is just wants, beliefs and views put up for election and the majority wins. Know what I mean?

Thanks Rex for your very intuitive comment! Very good point there about the beliefs and wants that win and sometimes lose...loved it!

Destiny I believe is what we create it to be...when something good happens to someone, it's their efforts that get praised...but when something bad happens, we blame it on the so-called Destiny! What I intended to portray from that poem was that what we call 'Destiny' is actually changeable - and yes, past is past...but the past was also made by us...

yes footsi! Sorry is the word...the hardest word for some people to blurt out, because it hurts their pride...

Huggggggz!
Keshi.

Yes..sometimes the haunting memories of the things left unsaid make us feel like clogs in the wheels of surerfarcical destiny.I have no respect for destiny though and hence it in turns abuses me.What a bitch!
Thought provoking post Keshi..it let's me peep inside the sensitive soul you possess.
Thank God you have it.
