My mini-escapade

Heyyyya!
I'm back from my much needed break and yeah I had heaps of fun just veging out at home :) Previously I used to go on holidays only when I went overseas. But this time I think I had the best break ever...just sitting at home watching Oprah, spending alot of quality time with my mum, enjoying my morning coffee without thinking about the train, cooking new dishes, cleaning the kitchen super-bright, waking up to 9am sunshine, driving around listening to Rod Stewart, watching from my balcony school kids going home chatting happily, getting to know the neighbors I never knew existed, taking long showers without a care, opening some boxes in the garage that brought back some memories from 5years ago, visiting my friend after 6months who's baby is now a much 'bigger' baby, shopping for clothes and ear-rings without looking at the watch, enjoying my mum's favorite shows like Bold&the Beautiful (although I think it should be re-titled as 'Slow&the Painful' because the episodes are real slow and kills you when it ends with only 15mins of quality air time) and playing with my 2yr old nephew who now thinks I should not have a life apart from being with him :)
Most people think that holidays should be in Thailand or Bahamas...even though it's good to chill out there to take a break and get to know about the world, remember that what you might really need is just a stay-at-home break to get in touch with yourself and to spend some quality time with your loved ones...to bring back the nostalgia of what you have been, to re-connect with lost times and to re-kindle the spark of your life...

Me not a travel freak, except when my job forces me to, but I think u r right here. "...what you might really need is just a stay-at-home break to get in touch with yourself and to spend some quality time with your loved ones...

I know how much I miss them when I stay away from my family during workdays...but when Im back on weekends (though its kinda short vacation for me), I njoy loads.

Oprah....last night I was watching Oprah with the Desperate Housewives star cast...awesome crew ;)

Thanks for visiting my blog arz000n!

Me not much of a travel freak either...I'm a very homely person and I can easily find my joys, pleasures and holidays inside my living room with my family and friends :) I'm happy with that if that makes me relaxed and content at that moment.

Oprah rocks...it's a pity I dont get to watch her show everyday but when I get a chance I never miss it...I saw her show with Tom Cruise recently and how he kept jumping on her couch?? I think he's lost it and I really think his eccentirc love for Katie is just like a child's sudden desire for ice cream :) But I missed the desp.h.wives show with Oprah :(

aww eyezz why dun u go on some holzz then? Seriously after that 2 weeks at home I feel much more energetic and a sense of pure and fresh attitude is about me. yep checked arzooon's blog, it rocks!

loll Pearly ur too cute :) I know what u mean, a good long vacation away from home is great too...it cuts the boredom and monotonous routine life we all live...but yeah I have been on many overseas vacations and as soon as I go, I wanna come home too lolll!

hugggggggggggggggggggggz mah sweety Jannnz! aww hows ur lil one treating ya...I hope he/she isnt kicking u yet :) Hope ur not feeling that sick these days...take it easy. Yep Cruiser has gone Almonds lol! Just what the hell was he doing on Oprah's couch - he jumped on it like 12 times! What amazes me is when Oprah asked him why he chose to have a relationship with Katie, he didnt have anything to say...he took a long time and said that she's a great person and when u see the work someone's done, u want to meet them - duhhhhhhhh!

Very upliftiung post Keshi. Exotic vacations are a luxary, but stay-at-home vacations are a de-stress activity which gives you the most relaxing, happy feelings ever

My best idea of hollidayin' is to put my feet up the couch and just relax, watch soccer, eat and eat, offcourse I would love to be romantic n' playing around the house with my significant other once she appear.

BTW, babesterness, I can be very voilent by disposition :)
