At a birthday party last weekend, I was wearing a dark brown pair of cordroy three-quarter pants that's got lace at the waiste&hem, a light pink v-necked long-sleeved woolen top, black&pink hair scarf tied as a head band with my hair up at the back and a red pair of stilettos. My cousins were like 'You are absolutely hip and looking gorgeous!'. But seriously I don't think I'm that hip, it's just that I have a good dress sense and I like to look and feel beautiful always. According to the sources 'hip' means 'fashionably current'. If I'm fashionably current, I would have been wearing one of those khaki pants and suede embroidered boots which is the 'in' style this Winter in Aus. I like fashion alright but you can't say I'm totally hip! Because what's hip may not be my style. We all carry our own dress sense and style. Some people wear whatever is hip, some choose what suit them the most. What about you? How would you dress for a casual evening function? What kind of a fashion god/goddess are you with clothes, accessories and shoes?

Yep God made us this way and we are all beautiful in different ways...but I see fashion as an art form and people can look incredibly beautiful with the right dress sense. That's what this post is abt :)

Fashion God....no i am not that sort of. I hardly go for parties and even if i got to go then i always put on simple pair of jeans or a trouser, with a cotton shirt and a summer jacket and if its winter then a jeans, t-shirt and a leather jacket.As far as the accessories are concerned, i am pretty dull in that too, only a simple casio sport wrist watch or a raymond rennee, thats it.

For a desi feel, Id be dressed in a trendy kurti/kurta with boot cut pant and a dupatta or a lukhnowi salwar kameez. Pearl/or ruby chandelier earings, hair let loose or tied in a snap clip, delicate silver chain and thin silver bangles, sandals with low heels and a faux suede handbag (Im a sucker for trendy handbags)
ReplyDeleteFor a western feel, Id be in a preppy but relaxed style. Either cotton chinos or godet skirt with a simple woven shirt or a tee, diamond stud earings, silver bracelet, flip flops or mocasins, and my dandy handbag:)

Im not too much of a fancy watch person, rather a fan of gemstone jewelry. I have a collection of almost all kind of gemstone jewelry except for red saphire. Someone told me I should stay away from it, and superstitious the kind I am, curbed my desire for it.

As soon as i landed here, London i mean, i bought some stuff for maself...i hd alwez worn skirts...but never those tight tight fitting ones...those formal kinds i mean...
So after some days...to my office...i wore this black booty hugging..loll...skirt....with stockings...and high high heeled boots....and gosh...i was so uncomfy the whole day...getting on the escalators...stairs..was so tough...and later in the afternoon i ended up tearing ma stockings, thr was this big slit kinna thing, u gt it na?...ewww t'was so embarassing....thank god i hd ma legs waxed....else...oh ma gawd! i cant even imagine wht wud hv happened next!
Btw..i love wearing corduroy...i got some great trousers and skirts....those just look amazing.....
And wow woollen top....oooo...looks too good!!Bands nd all eh! U certainly seem to hv a terrific dressing sense!
