So, a group of friends and I went to the Charity run/walk yesterday and had a great time by the beach! The atmosphere was so relaxed, summery, sunshiney and amazingly inspiring! There were about 3000 participants all up, and whoaaaaaaa there were some super hot bods! *I fainted on many occasions just by witnessing few well-toned hunks running past me! There were Ambulance Services at many points, but I preferred to run with these guys ;-)*. Families, couples, singles, children, oldies all joined in the fun and contributed their time, energy, money and love to the great cause of medical research. There were 3 different events...one for joggers only, another for joggers and walkers *my one*, and one last one for the kids. Some parents jogged with their children in prams and some kids jogged with the happy dragon. So cute! Food, music, fun, laughter and health...the best things in life, all in one single day!

I have a new tan now, I'm just tanner than before LOL! It was one great day guys and thanks all for wishing me luck in the last post...with all your blessings and all of you in my heart, I made it! :)

I remember a comment I left ages back in one of your post where I said that it's sad that when one can learn and share so much from each others cultures, values and religious belief, they end up falling victim to unreasonable suspicion...some amongst us have "zero" tolerance and respect for each other's faith and beliefs!!

ReplyDeleteMy wish would be for mankind to will their way over addiction. Addiction is of many kinds. To compulsively trespass is also a form of addiction. On many counts, i concur with the baroque era philosophers who believe that man is a part machinist/automaton. When you couple addiction to this subconscious machinist theory, it makes for the possibility of one ugly devil who perhaps has lately surfaced in many different forms.
Now that's a problem with this world, Kesh. Sometimes, simple things are so hard to come by. Just like writing a simple sentence which conveys all that one wants to say is so difficult to construct sometimes. Because, we want embellishment and resort to, if I may say, verbosity.

ReplyDeleteIf there's the one thing that came to mind immediately after reading your question - my answer would be Peace.
ReplyDeletePeace in every sense of the word. There is too much violence, too much bloodshed, too much of intolerance and way too much of hatred coursing through the mainstream of life, as we go through it day after day.
It breaks my heart to watch violence on the news day in and day out and to see those children suffering - yet not knowing why there is so much destruction and death all around them.
It is very suffocating even to watch the news so I cannot even begin to imagine how it must be for people living out there in strife torn regions all over the world.
Oh well done Keshi! So does this mean you are turning into a joggerette?? :P
