Everlasting Cardiac Connections...

Disclaimer: Please read the post before answering the question at the end. Thanks!

Thanks all for answering the question in that last post so brilliantly. Each one of you had a beautiful view of this world, in your own opinion, and it was refreshing to read your unique thoughts on that subject. So from all your answers, some of the most beautiful things in this world are Love (most popular one), Nature, A long road with trees on either side and drizzle falling like flowers, Motherhood, Watching the Sunrise/Sunset, Feelings we experience when in love, Children, Being at complete peace with yourself, Puppies, 'Knowing' a person, Friendship, Life with its ups and downs, Being good to your parents, Imagination, A hug from a friend, One's reflection, Togetherness, Touching each other by a common invisible thread weaved in love, Eyes, The wordless smile, Affection, Colors of life, The silver lining on dark grey clouds, A genuine smile, A night sky full of stars...etc etc. Arent those answers so very BEAUTIFUL!

Here's what the guy in that movie thought the most beautiful thing in the world is:

The most beautiful thing in this world is the 'connection' between two hearts.

And that's all he said and my brain started working on that line :). Isn't that so true? I mean, be it any kind of love, the connection between 2 hearts(souls) is just amazing and unbeatable! Cos, that connection ties 2 people's hearts together, in a bond that's intangible and invisible, yet one that exists for sure and one that is so very powerful. We can go around the world looking for fame, fortune and riches...we can achieve so much in life, we can have everything in life, be it academic/financial/physical glories...but if my heart can't 'connect' to another's, I believe I have nothing. When all my work is done, when I'm ready to lay down my crowns and swords...what am I left with? My heart. And if that heart has never felt love, never reached out to someone, never 'connected' with another, then I'm actually left with nothing.

And now to why I chose that pic of earrings. Basically because an earring will never look beautiful by itself...it takes 2 of them to make it beautiful and worthwhile. The connection between 2 earrings is what makes them beautiful and valuable. And so, I believe 'connections' are one of the most beautiful, pure and long-lasting things in life. Connections take us places and make us do things that we'd never have imagined doing. They have the power to change us. And if we look at all your answers to that question, underneath all of that lives a 'connection'...be it Friendship, Love, Affection, Nature, Motherhood, Hugs etc etc. That means all of you nailed it somehow WOW! So, stay connected...not to your mobile fone, to hearts :-).

I wanna dedicate this post and song to my old blog-mate Janice. She's no longer here on Earth...I bet she's flying with the angels, experiencing new planes of love and light. But we are still connected Jan...you're not even in this world today, but my heart 'knows' your heart, and that old friendship we shared will never die. You made me realise that knowing a person like you changed me as a person inside out...I take life one day at a time because of you and your short journey here on Earth. You made a difference in my life! And that connection is still alive and I wanna keep it alive as long as I live. I love and miss ya babez MWAH!

Question: Out of all the 'connections' you have/had so far, what is the one connection that really changed you as a person and why?

i've been caught up in loads of work re since last one and half week...and so shall be for this week...been doing long hours...not my favorite thing when it comes to the do verb but thats how it is...

i so go with what the chap said in the movie...infact thats why i say people shud watch a lot of movies...lot of educative material in them :P

and that's probably why i keep reaching out to unknown people..on trains, buses, my office elevator, orkut...for i believe that one way of making people care...is to break down their silos of isoltaion

by the way i started volunteering with an ngo...it's basically an midlleman kind of ngo...what it does is instead of focussing on getting funds for other ngos...it gathers volunteers for them...visited it once...once this hectic period gets over prolly u'll hear more updates from me about it...

how about going with this slogan..."today make a stranger into an acquaintance...an acquaintance a friend"

  4. Hi Keshi

    Interesting post!

I never connected fact that everything in life is a result of a connection. We’re here because two people connected.

Let’s zoom back a couple of posts; I think icicles are beautiful when the sun reflects off them.

The connection most I most value is the connection I made with myself. I figured out who I am, and what I want in life. I think a person must connect with themselves before being able to connect something or somebody.

    Wow! That's deep! LOL

I’m back, busy, and I already need a few days off.

    LOL

thanx for ur comment in my blog.

    @ur question
Out of all the 'connections' you have/had so far, what is the one connection that really changed you as a person and why?

One connection that changed me as a person so far is my connection with my beloved. I become more responsible person and I will be more responsible person as the days passed by like when I get married, when I will become father and so on....

    ReplyDelete
  11. the one connection?
that must be to the electric wire! got the 'shock' of my life. it didn't change much. i just don't touch any wires anymore. :)

    ReplyDelete
  12. yep, i bet your friend Janice is looking down and smiling at you!!

and well said girl, about the "connection", it is so true.. so necessary.. adds value, meaning to our lives:)

    ReplyDelete
  13. To be very candid & honest I rarely connect!
And what changed me as a person was the one connection which i tried to establish... and when that fell apart, it really stopped me from even trying to connect ever again! :D

Its something that I am not comfortable with, but that's the way it is... And no matter how much I try... I am not able to connect.... may b there's a short circuit somewhere.. LOL

And may she rest in peace...

in life too we are constantly we are seeking connecions...so truly said! :)

to me my connection with a virtual friend puneet matters a lot.without a kidney, and one from his mom,his wife being a moron and refusing to grant him divorce, despite being under several restrictions due to health concerns, despite knowing that he can never be with the one person he so loves and longs to be with, despite knowing she loves him too, despite knowing his days are numbered he hasn't lost the zest for life...

i have learned to be a survivor from him

Some beautiful answers there... good to read them.

Connection between 2 hearts - it makes even the little thing special... so true & nice use of the earrings too :)

Janice - She lives on somewhere watching everyone who loved her including you; God bless her soul.

As for my life, without a doubt, my Dad. From all the family trips to odd fights, from all the principles he lived for and his early death; my few years with him is something that has made me who I'm today. I miss him, always :'(

    Cheers....

  69. Connection between two hearts?? I could say the connection of your heart to something but not to other heart!!
I've seen computer geeks who have that connection to computers and their life is that!!
Sometimes, even I too have some connection to something :)

***Out of all the 'connections' you have/had so far, what is the one connection that really changed you as a person

I don't know which connection, may be the FATE connection :) Once up on a time, I thought I can do something, I can do anything, but then I saw my dreams shatter and I realize that you can only achieve something only if you are supposed to achieve it :)

'N yah h2h connection I had with my best friend. She's married now and once in a while calls me :)

The connection that changed me much was through my dad first...short lived but i know those few things he taught me may not be worldly, but i live them and m happy to do so...

well, the other best impact has ben my guru...i learnt things thru him and in a better way and guess, i've grown up with his lessons...

  76. Beautiful tribute to your friend Keshi!

"Out of all the 'connections' you have/had so far, what is the one connection that really changed you as a person and why?"

That's a tough one. I would guess my friend Bobbie. She and I were bestest friends from 7th grade all the way through high school and beyond. Then we drifted apart for various reasons. But, about 3 years ago she tracked me down on the internet and it was like we had never been apart at all. She is a true friend.

    ReplyDelete
  77. that is so touching, keshi. i'm sure janice is an angel now... maybe she's ur personal guardian angel? :) so she's always with u.

it's a beautiful thought. the connection between hearts... and the pic of the earrings... really refreshing interpretation. i couldn't guess from the pic yday.

one connection that changed me? the one with my bestest friend. she still lends a beautiful perspective to my thinking. she was the one from whom i learned that it's fine to be yourself. it's okay to be insane even when the whole world is trying to convert you to sanity. not because you want to be different. but because that is who you truly are.
even today, we don't call each other regularly... but if she's low, i can feel it. it's strange... but yeah, that's the way it is.

    ReplyDelete
  78. BEAUTIFUL post keshi!

  79. Hi,Keshi..that was a nice set of answers from everyone. I missed the post, but, here's my thought- the most beautiful thing in this world is 'perception'- if our perception is right,we see everything with a shining eye. If it's wrong,we see everything with a jaundiced eye.:)

And,here's a 'hats off' to your nice tribute to your friend.May her soul feel happy always, knowing that you remember her so fondly. You're a gem!

  83. that was reallyy touching post..

    seriously whats with us ??

same thoughts well not exactly the same thoughts.. but pretty much on the same lines..

i bet u jan is ur guardian angel and looking after u right now.. am sure she's always beside u when u r really down and laughing abt when u laugh..

its very rare you actually find or meet someone who actually knows how u r even if u dont realise it urself.. brings out the best in u and always stand beside u what ever happens..

u r lucky that u had that connection.. because sweets most ppl dont.. or even if they do.. they realise it to late to stick on to that.. or hold on to..

  84. Damn You Keshi for making me cry again! hahaha!!

Very lovely post... It is wonderful that Janice touched lives as well as yours while she was here!!

My Parents connection, they have been there through sooooooo much and have picked me up many many times!!

That is one connection that I will forever hold on to... And there is a lot others but the one that changed me and defines me the most are my parents!!!

You and these wonderful heart warming posts are another connection!!

    See ya later!

  85. Really sorry to hear about your friend..may her soul rest in peace.. :)

About you question...well the only person capable of changing me is me, myself..
I believe its most important to first connect yourself with yourself...Once you understand yourself, everything else is a mundane task...
So Its the connection between me with myself.

I know the answer is weird..but thats what I feel..

And dear Oh Dear..you really are beautiful...outside in..or inside out..are you for real.. :p Its too good to be true.. :p
    Somebody pinch me.. ^-^

  86. Hey buddy I must tell u that you always ask questions at the end of ur post tats just amazing I luv to answer those.

    The connection which changed me......
its difficult to answer as from all connections affect us and bring a change in us even if it is small.
I think my connection with my best buddy changed me the most I wud say. and of course parents r always bring us a lot of changes in us.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Hey Keshi!

... because an earring will never look beautiful by itself...it takes 2 of them to make it beautiful and worthwhile: Beautiful thought.

Now the question: First, it is not easy to connect with anyone in the world, completely. It requires you to adjust, change and aceept a new influence. Second, connecting still is a better and more wholesome way of living your life. Thirdy, as far as I am concerned, the relationship with my wife has changed a lot of things for both of us. We have both helped each other evolve. But, it has not been easy for both of us. Ours is a near perfecty raelatioship, when I see others, but yet we have had our share of problems. She and I have worked on our relationship for thirteen years and now at last, I think it is on a smoother course.

So, like everything else, this too comes at a cost. Only, if you are adaptable, compassionate and understanding, you can actaully bond well.

    Cheers!

  130. Easy question, it would be the connection with my girlfriend.

It's made me into a complete person. I wasn't before. It's that simple.

Without her, my life would be completely different - and not for the better.

the best connection that changed my life- well, it's strange, but it's my relationship with God: it's off and on many a time, i sonmetimes forget to pray for days at a stretch, but then ever since i really started believing and having faith- happiness, contentment and decision-making have come easier to me, even in testing times..

there i said it :) ya make me like myself better keshigurl..

Obviously that which didn't last ;). U know it :).

I'd always been a dork and an anti-social kind :D. But then I realized there was another side to me :). I was surprised just like everyone else were :p.

It made me a much more stronger person, made me realized never to be emotionally dependent on just 1 person and loads'n'loads :).

Just that it wasn't quite a happy ending :p.
