Much Ado About Something

As promised, here are some pics I took on Sunday when we went to that beautiful church in far NSW. This church is supposed to be a very special place for centuries. Christians believe that when you make a wish here, it comes true. I'm not a very religious person, but few years ago I went to this same church and made a wish...it came true within few months, believe it or not. It's located in one of the most picturesque hills I've ever set my eyes on. On the way to this place, there are Peach, Apple, Orange etc farms...stables, wineries and green green fields...absolute peace and quiet. So here are the pics with my own titles for each one of them...can you guess what they are, and tell me which one is your favorite and why?

The Road Not Taken...

For Whom the Bell Tolls...

Far from the Madding Crowd...

The Da Vinci Code...

Great Expectations...

Paradise Lost...

As You Like It...

The Torrents Of Spring...

Invictus...

If Tomorrow Comes...

The Solitary Reaper...

Wuthering Heights...

Persuasion...

Nothing Lasts Forever...

  15. Couldn't help but comment on the Shahrukh Khan dialogue that Ankur has mentioned.

I think this dialogue has found its origins in what Paulo Coelho wrote in "The Alchemist" when he said "when you really want something to happen, the whole universe conspires so that your wish comes true".

And yes - Amen to that :).

  31. Absolutely beaut. Coming from me a member of a non prophet org.
My old school church in England capacity 400 circa 1700 plus a trifle; was stripped when the school was demolished in 1949 and is now part of a pig farming project. The wonders of christianity run amok.

Reminds me of Christian missionaries captured by canibals
were roasted on a spit and were referred to as 'long pig'

They stated they were just having their first taste of religion.

    Spot on!

we r all mangled in the rat race, away from real peace...peace of mind that is. Like u said, we let materialistic THINGS define us.

There r few nuns living in this Church area...one of them came up to me and spoke to me...she seemed so at PEACE with the world...with her body, mind, thoughts, words and deeds. Thats what real peace is Mayz...what we r doing to ourselves is crap :)

  54. ty Ankur!

yes, this place and alot of places in Sydney give me inner peace..there's a Buddhist temple in the Blue Mountains, in the woods, where monks meditate...that place is also very close to my heart. When I go there, I forget everything that's bothering me...total bliss. I put up pics of that place in my blog long time ago.

**"When you want something very badly, the whole world helps u out to get that!!!"

I think u interpreted that VERY WELL! Thats what I had in my mind when I titled it.

Those flowers r blooming with full expectations, w.o. the knowledge that they too shall wither n die some day...

  116. Keshi, u're making me want to go to this place... Its so beautiful and you've captured it so nicely... very real. I want to go there some day. Cud u tell me the name of this place?

I have always dreamt of taking a long ride by a long winding road, with orchards and trees on either side and quaint little homes of country folk... and then a chapel or a huge green ground or a pond on the way...

I love the quiet life... i love solitude and silence and i have been craving for it ever since i started working round the clock... I wish i had some time...

but the pics and description are lovely, girl! u really took me there... :)

sorry, i havent been blogging much, but i do read ur posts quite frequently whenever time permits..

    take care!

    **hugs**

awww...I feel the same way...I hate this rat race...I feel we r depriving ourselves of the REAL life by being mangled in this crazy n fast city life.

Nature is always soothing to the mind...so still, peaceful and lovely on their own.

I left a comment in ur blog stating the location name etc. Hope u get to go there some day :)
