I have been very busy this long weekend, didn't have time to visit all your blogs, don't feel like writing much either, I'm a lil tired, a lil blue and a lil moody these days *stretches her arms and winks*. But the thought of getting a tattoo has always lifted my spirits up. I have always wanted to get a Rose tat on my back, just above the butt, below the waist (not as in this pic!). But certain family 'granma' groups stopped me from doing it *rolling eyes*...they told me that tattoos can be toxic, painful, rowdy-like etc etc. *yawns*. Anyways, just tell me this...where would be the sexiest spot for me to get a tattoo and what should it be? So c'mon gimme some ideas please. Thanks in advance! And if you or someone you know already have tats, tell me about them...and what does a tat and it's place signify? For example, a rose signifies femininity, and a tat at the waist portrays sex appeal. So yeah, tell me what you think about them. Catch ya all soon!

Tattoos are cool, but it carries pain as well. My lost grandma have drawing on her hands in green color replace the moden tattoos she used to tell how painful drew them in hands.

I got first a chinese symbol on my back,right shoulder in USA, it was supposed to mean mind will, but then I met a Japanese guy who told me that he only met mind and draw the the symbol for will, so I got a tattoo next to this one to have the full meaning.
Then I got one small chinese tattoo on my ankle which mean Freedom.
I was planning to not get any other tattoo, but then my BF offered me a voucher to get an other tattoo :) so this time i got a bigger on my lower back left side (same zone u wanna have urs) one which is a Geisha because she was a very powerful woman and an entertainer, with colors this time around dark and light blue (can send u a pic if u want). My dad does not and will never know about it :)
Now i m planning, if i get the translation properly to have a quote in Hindi on the right side of my lower back.
Now the thing is usually people say when u start getting tattoo u can stop, well in my case u see, but i don t want to have them visible to everybody so i won t tattoo my face or my chest or whatever, it s more personal.
Now, for the pain, well myself i m scared of needles but it s not really painful, the outline is a bit painful cause they re using only one tiny needle, but the fulfill they re using a line of small needles and it s really not painful.
Of course, before getting a tattoo check the tattoo shop first to see if they are using single use needles, how they clean between two clients, very important!
As for the diet before the tattoo, i got one for my geisha :) no alcohol, no drugs, eat red meat, to avoid having a blood too liquid :)Specially if u wanna do a light color for the rose, if u re bleeding too much (it can happen, but it s not that painful) the light color will not stick to ur skin :)
What else, for the nice spots, I like the bottom of the spinal column or the top of it (the nape of the neck), the good is u can hide it with ur hair, something not too big on the top of it, as for the bottom a rose is nice, check the meaning of the color of the rose, cause it s something u will have ur entire life so u don t wanna mess it up. The only thing is on the spinal column it will be more painful cz of the bones, rather than on the side, cause u have more fat/skin so less painful. After that, i can t advice u what symbol/draw u wanna have, u should be the one to decide, cause u re gonna be the one who s gonna carry it for the rest of ur life, so think twice before doing it.
One more thing the bigger the better, small tattoo like my chinese symbol will last less longer than the bigger one, i will have to come back to the tattoo shop to fill it or re do the outline a bit.

I had a friend Leah, who had the Chinese characters for Knowledge, wisdom, power and zen tattooed on her right arm. She was a taekwando black belt and to her those four characters symbolized her understanding of the martial art she had taken up. So, I guess you need to get something that represents you. I guess, the whole history of body paints and tattoos was born from the need of an individual to express his/her self in an unique manner. Go ahead, and good luck with ur granma's :)

That way you can lower your a little and show it off without actually giving anyone a peak, but they will think they are getting one. You can give everyone a sexy tease that way. ;-)

A friend got one slightly above her ankle 1 or 2 months back. She had a celtic tree about 10cm (i think) etched there.

Another had about 4 or 5: 1 huge one of his name on his back, his biceps ringed by hemp, another a few smaller ones. The one on his back bled quite badly apparently ;(

ON the other hand... that recent story about that DJ and the Blink 182 guy who were in that plane crash... burned like over 50% of their lower bodies... could not get skin grafts because of all the tattoos they had :(

ReplyDeleteyep, this year only.. my bday was on 4th sep, i got the tattoo on 6th.. on 5th i got this crazy urge[had been wanting a tattoo since my last bday, was scared, worried about mom,etc etc..usual rigwam], but then walked into the parlor, showed him the design.. he said come back on 6th 3pm.. shakey legs, cold hands, i walked in with my sis n friend in tow.. and got ti done... absolutely amazing!!
initial 10secs painful[as u get used to the needle buzzing], after that its a cake walk..even colors dont hurt...

i cant even imagine going through the real torture of getting a real one done....
