May be it was just a dream...but it meant something coz dreams always come with a purpose....to show u something that one cant see in normal day light. What is forever? Its a term that we like to use to overcome our insecurities by saying that this is the one thing that will stay forever.....but the truth is nothing stays forever!!

ReplyDeleteThen there's the whole physics thing... "Forever" may not even be a realistic idea. Time itself looks like it had a beginning and will have an end; meanwhile "string theory" suggests that space and time are only four of any number of dimensions that may or may not manifest in a particular universe.

My dad's a Buddhist and my mum is a Hindu. And I went to a Methodist school. My best friends were Muslim girls, both here and in Sri Lanka. :) I hv read bits of the Gita and the Bible, tho I always followed Buddhism. Like u said, it all give one message and that is peace n love.
All these years of my life, I was brought upto believe in a God, but right now I dun think there's a God. There must be some supreme being but not someone who plans our lives. I believe in a Way of life, hence I find immense peace of mind in Buddhism...cos Buddhism is not a religion, its a philosophy.

ReplyDeleteto this if i say truly -- I feel Budha himself found it so difficult to live in this world..after what we say about his enlightenment -- that he chose to sit under the Bodhi tree...eyes half closed...
Nirvana -- in this world omes with death, i mean death of this 'poke' in wheel of life forever...you know metaphysics? that's yet another way to enlightenment --a bit tough as it goes deep...
and asking questions -- itself a philosophy and way of life...very difficult for humans in real world -- empty of otherwise -- to not ask qustions when they face the reality of life...
sitting under a tree is easy. possible by all - i don't think that way too...:-)
its all MAYA..what Krishna told in Bhagawad Gita...mind has to be on track to understand all those..so lets not think too much...
i was forced to do that many a time in life..and almost lost my mind and life in the process..
by the Grace of God i'm back...
back as i were -- asking silly questions, thinking about serious issues of life, laughing at things...

What makes you think that you are living life for the sake of it? home is where your heart is babes.. if u aint comfy there, come back.. or pack ur bags to a place where your calls would be answered. world might look smaller, but it aint. you would surely not have met 99% of people ovr here.. and just one person among this lots could change your spirits. now do the maths, what is your probability to be happy? :-)
