You Beat It Jacko!

I grew up with his music. I grew up trying to moonwalk like him. I know almost ALL his songs and lyrics by heart. I always wanted to dance and move so smoothely like him. I admired him so very much. I respect and love his work from the ultimate core of my SOUL. His music took me through some of my toughest times. His song BEN (that I played often in my blog and very recently too) always made me feel that I'm not alone. His song BEAT IT brought out the devil-dancer in me. His song BAD made me feel it's ok to be me, with all my flaws. His song BLACK OR WHITE and HEAL THE WORLD revolutionised our Thinking. BILLIE JEAN is my ultimate 'move it' song. All of MJ's songs are a huge part of me now, that will live and die with me.

Jacko created a new dimension in Music...one that got etched in Music history, that belongs to him and him alone. Jacko is a Music legend no matter what people say about his personal life - not that it matters anyways. I have great respect for MJ & for his work, and I know that people who judge him can never achieve what he achieved in his short life. He is a genius. His work excelled all the negative publicity he got towards the end of his life. Those who cannot see his expertise are poorer for not being able to recognise his unique genetic brilliance.

He is Body, Soul, Rhythm, Precision, Technique, Brilliance, Performance, Dedication, Professionalism, Strength, Heat, Devotion, Passion, Talent, Charisma and LOVE. Jacko you beat it mate! WE LOVE AND MISS YA! The world is poorer today for losing you way before your time. Thank You for the great music and the passion that you brought to our lives! Your legacy will never die. There will never be another Jacko and there will never be another dancer like him. No one else in the world can MOVE like ya MJ! *lotsa tears*

I will be playing MJ songs for the next few posts as a tribute to one of my fav singers and performers ever.

People always told me be careful of what you do
And don't go around breaking young girls' hearts...
And mother always told me be careful of who you love
And be careful of what you do...
'cause the lie becomes the truth.

  3. You just said it. Every single one of those things that I've been feeling, you just said it right there.

We'll miss him, but he'll be around with his music, and his moves.

Let's remember him by what he gave the world to remember him by. :)

Yeah one of the first english song I ever heard was Jam, MJ.
    Loved his song.
His creatvity wasnt limited to writing or singing or dancing or his videos.
He is by far the greatest performer is last 50 years.

He impacted people across the globe.

  9. I never was a fan of MJ. Yes, one of his captivating traits was he danced like magic.

MJ constructed himself and then went on to de-construct it all. A legend in his own right.

    May he find peace.

  19. I have tears in my eyes... after reading what the papers have to say, what the news speaks... then listening to his hits all over again... I wish he wouldn't die so young and suddenly...

I never took the time out to do some research on him... may be he died unhappily. For the awesome role model he was, for that innocence in him that I saw in one of his oldest interviews ever... I hope he died a content man. I have a lump in my throat as I write this.

    WE LOVE YOU MJ!!!

  20. The magnitude of MJ's fame can be summed up by the fact that even though it's been more than a decade since he last gave a live performance, the entire world is shocked at his passing.

It's been TWENTY-SEVEN years since Thriller was released, yet it entertains the most modern of tastes.

By the way, if you really do remember the lyrics to all his songs, I think you'll enjoy me own tribute to MJ at my blog, The Loony Bean :)

His musical talent was near genius and he will never be replaced.

Got to apologize Keshi, last couple of weeks at work have been brutal and I haven't been online all that much. At least on vacation now.

  32. Keshi,

Finally read 3 posts + 1 old one too.

For CSI - There are such weird people in the world. One has to take precautions. You could call up your mother or sister when you reach near that strech so they could watch you cross that place safely. There are other ways which I will not like to say here as it will warn the would be culprits too. Be careful.

For your doctor episode - 25/6 is noted for future. You are as old as you feel in mind. You do gain in experience as age advances. Belated wishes again as I had said it earlier in the beginning of the month in reply to your comment in my post.

This one - MJ may not be there physically but his music will entertain people for years to come.

    Take care

  33. Mj s songs has always been a inspiration for me.... His onstage energy something to look up to....

His songs -- his dance routines-- everything has alwys been a source of energy. & i even danced my first stage solo 2 his ----they don't really care about us--

His songs-- has changed the entire perception of the way people look at the music of the 80s....

He made his mistakes & he had his share of celeb scandals...

But he made good music.... no great music....

And in his music-- he will be remembered and will last 4ever...

    After all

A man does not die of mortal wounds, disease or of old age. He dies when he is forgotten.... :)

  37. Hi Keshi

I was driving through the beautiful forests of Ontario when my phone's buzzer and dash lights went into a frenzy. A friend was calling to tell me something big was going down. I had already heard about Farrah, but when he told me that MJ was being rushed to hospital VSA I could not believe what I was hearing. I turned on the radio and every station was linked into a news feed. This was just as big as day the towers when down and the world stopped.

We all have used the lyric 'the day the music died'. We have lost the inventor of that music.

    Sad time for all.

For another approach, read my latest post. It's even sadder.

It happens...often to celebrities. Public opinion doesnt matter to u and me, but for someone who lived a very public life like MJ, it affects em...and the LIES often becomes the TRUTH. ppl start believing whatever the media writes about them and thats v sad.

I just want the world to know MJ is INNOCENT. And if one watched all his Interviews, u wud know he's innocent. if u listened to all his statements, u wud know he's innocent.
