Not for sale

He was a very rich man. He went on upmarket holidays but everywhere he was alone. He could buy any girl he wanted but he didnt receive true love from any one of them. He bought a mansion but he couldnt find a home. Spent his money on pleasurable gambling but he never found the peace that came from indulging in pure nature. He went to expensive restaurants but he never experienced the humble pleasure of a home-made meal. He had a Mercedes but he couldnt find happy times in the car with family. He paid for a fancy party at a five star hotel but those mates left after the party. He had a mega Entertainment system at home but he didnt hear laughter. He had everything but he was a prisoner within his own self for freedom didnt exist in a shop. He became very old so he paid for doctors to take care of him but he couldnt see anyone around his bed...all those girls, mates, colleagues, party animals, mansions, clothes etc none of them were permanent. And companionship, love, home, peace, humbleness, happy times, family&friends, laughter, freedom and care were not for sale.

Miracles

Pregnancy, isnt that a miracle? A little human being growing in the womb of a woman. Magical petals of colorful flowers with motionless dewdrops sitting on them, isnt this a miracle? Warmth of a friend's smile that brings instant contentment to your troubled mind, isnt that a miracle? Being able to talk, walk, see, hear and feel, isnt that a miracle? The sun, the moon and the stars and the rain drops, arent they miracles? People with big hearts and huge smiles, now arent they a miracle too? Isnt a warm cup of coffee a miracle? The aroma and the joy it brings to your senses. Love between two souls that connect them for eternity, isnt that truly a miracle? Isnt beautiful smooth skin that shines with health a miracle? Music that makes your body move and fill your mind with pleasure, now isnt that a miracle? Isnt having a family to laugh with, cry with and lean on a miracle? Isnt freedom, peace of mind and being happy with what you are a miracle?
Look around you...everything is a miracle...just that you don't see it that way because it's been like that always. Don't look too far for miracles, it's right next to you. What you consider ordinary can be another's most chased-after dream. Enjoy your miracles from today and don't forget to tell me what your miracles are...

Mirage

She was going to make her coffee...she suddenly collapsed...she was cold and silent...her eyes closed and body lifeless...suddenly her face changed and she shuddered in a fit...I thought she was going to die...I screamed in fear while holding her up...that very moment I felt massive pain in my heart like I never felt before....I felt my bond with her like I never did before...I felt for a brief moment how horrible life would be without her...I took a sip of merciless reality, the bleak reality of life where a loved-one could leave you any minute...every other moment was filled with thoughts of how fragile we are...today you may share your home with your loved-ones...but tomorrow will you?? Life of your loved-one is like a mirage that settles in the desert of your heart...you think it's forever but it takes you for a ride...it will only last for it's given time and when you get closer and closer to it, it disappears without a trace. Life is not forever - it's a mirage waiting to vanish and I felt that to the core this morning. Have I told you lately that I love you?

Convenience Marriage

I believe most people marry for convenience. Some call it true love...but no, all they want is someone to rely on, someone to take care of them when they are old, someone for company, someone to have children with, someone for that and this...I know that humans need company, love and care, but it makes me wonder if two people would fully trust each other and love unconditionally if there was no such thing as marriage. If there was no paper pledging their love for each other, what would happen? Would they do better than taking each other for granted? Just look what happens when a divorce or separation is about to happen. I bet no one walks away wanting nothing from the other. I heard my friend's friend saying she will take every piece of furniture from him before she gives him the divorce, meanwhile he had taken the custody of their only child...and they could demean themselves this way only because of the obligation that was attached to that piece of paper.

Colors of the Rainbow

I am brown but I have white, black and yellow friends. My first language is Sinhalese but I speak English very well. I was born in Sri Lanka but I live in Australia. My main food is rice but I love spaghetti, chicken laksa, Greek salad and French bread too. My most favorite choice of clothing would be saree but I wear suits, jeans and dresses that come from around the world. I listen to Sinhalese and Hindi music but I also love Rock, Arabic and Spanish music. I love watching Hindi movies but English movies with Denzil Washington or Hugh Grant are great too. I love the freedom in Western culture but I adore the peace and quiet that meditation in a Budhhist temple brings...
Does the color of skin matter? Does the language one speaks matter? Does the land where one was born matter? We cannot do without one another, it's very clear. Just like it's only ALL the colors of the rainbow that can make it perfect, we need all of us. Otherwise this world would be dull, boring and imperfect. Then why racism?

Where your heart is...

If a catastrophic storm was approaching your home and you had five minutes to find and save a single object before being forced to evacuate, what would you take with you?

Guess what I'll take - hmmm...all mah photo albums...for thats where my heart is...all mah moments with mah loved ones, that can never be captured in the future. Photos have embedded emotions and preserve memories for many years...one special reason is that I value my dad's photos more than anything else...he's not here anymore but he's in my heart and my heart is in the albums :)

Misunderstood

I could cry a river of tears
Tears that never cease to flow...
Be a distant star in the sky
Always shining down on you...
I am the beacon in your night
To keep you warm, I will burn...
Like dewdrops vanish with the sun
Just ashes I will be by dawn...
Throw my love if that you should
I'm used to being misunderstood
Like colors seen by candlelight
Are not the same when day arrives
As snowcapped leaves rustle away
Spring shall bring you a bright day
Drifting like a paper boat
Let my life and dreams float
Golden rays and butterfly dreams
May they all be yours to keep.

City in me

If you were a city what city would you be?

I would be Sydney...because I have a Harbor Bridge of confidence and trust that you can rely on...because I have an Opera House of songs and performances of joy just for you...because I have a Centerpoint Tower of hope and courage in whatever I face...because I have The Blue Mountains of tears and memories of all I have gone through...because I have The Aquarium of different beautiful friends who swim with me...because I have The Royal Botanical Gardens of fragrant and colorful reminiscence that I may pass on to you...because I have The IMAX Theatre of entertainment and excitement in me...because I have the Bondi Beach of beauty and calm to soothe you...because I have The Rocks of true and solid friendship and love to offer you...

Tell me what city are you..

Lost priority

Dedicated to a very special couple...
Remember you were a baby once...a cute little bundle of joy that gave so many smiles to so many faces. A delightful treat to your parents, an abundance of pleasure at the end of a hectic day...a radiance of energy and livelihood at home. Every new step you took was a happening event for your parents. Then you grew up and went to kindy, all eager to start learning about the world. Your innocence still in tact you learn about the world, her laws and rules. Your parents provided you with everything you needed. You are slowly leaving your childhood behind and now you're in high school, a curious teenager getting ready for your HSC and seeking your career goals. Your parents still love you, they haven't changed a bit. Once you get through University you have officially become an independant person. You want your own car, your own house, your own life...you want to move out from home. Your parents still let you do what you want because they can't hurt your feelings. They help you with all of that. Now you have a girlfriend and you marry her. You hardly see your parents - you have your everything now so why should you see them?
You have a great time with your new found people in your life but you have forgotten those two special friends who always stood by you. But why, now they are old and boring, and don't have much to give except that one thing called love, which you think you don't need anymore. Mothers' Day and Fathers' Day arrive once a year and you take them out for lunch and back to your usual life for one more year. The two old people sit at home hoping and praying each and every day that their son is blessed with good health and never-ending happiness. Each morning they wake up with their son in mind. They have a doctor's appointment for which they catch a bus. That evening the son rings and tells them that he traded in his convertible for a brand new 4WD and that he's taking his friends on a trip in it. The old couple congratulate him and are so happy for him. They havent lost their priority at any point in their life...how did you lose it so easily? Will your children forget you too?

Eulogy

Back in July of 2003 I had to prepare my Aunt's eulogy and I was given only one night to come up with it. But I didnt have any trouble in writing it, only because my aunt was a wonderful person all her life and there were so many brilliant things to say about her. I had a collection of precious memories of her and I remebered each and every good deed of her's towards us. She treated me and my sis like we were her own kids and whatever she bought for her daughter was also bought for us, there was no difference in treatment - such a big heart she had. As a young kid back then it all registered in my memory but never in my dreams did I imagine I would some day be chosen to write and read her eulogy! How horrible a job it would have been if she was a mean aunt to me, becuase I'm a damn honest person too! This made me realise how blessed she was to be a kind and generous soul and how blessed I am to have known her and to have been chosen to present her eulogy with genuine thoughts about her.

You are creating your own eulogy right now...the present you are living in will be beautiful or not-so-beautiful memories for someone who will be reading your eulogy some day. Ultimately what matters is what you have been to your loved-ones throughout your life. It will be one of your loved-ones who will read it so make sure they have true fond memories of you to read out without a doubt. If you were to die today, what would your eulogy read?

My dear blog mates,
I have been receiving too much spam and silly comments from unhappy people that it's time to give them all a good break they deserve. Thanks all for participating in this blog in whichever manner you were blessed with. I have disabled comments for now. Will enable and start blogging if I feel like, whenever that may be. Destiny or Chance?

I have always wondered whether each one of us has it all planned even before we arrive here or whether things happen because of pure chance. As I grow older and with certain events that have happened in my life, I'm beginning to firmly believe that each one of us has a destiny of our own...no matter what I try to do, my life will be what it's supposed to be here on Earth. Now don't get me wrong, by saying that I don't mean that trying anything is worthless because life is going to be what's it's planned to be for us! But what I mean is even the things we do, chances we get, people we meet, places we go, relationships we have, every little step we take are all many threads that we are knitted with...we are our entire destiny working it's way through to the end. What do you think? I would love to hear your thoughts too.

I am

I am...
an existence created by love and affection...
a memory to be rememebred some day...
a space that will be empty when gone...
an influence that will last for eternity...
a flash that will light up as long as it can...
a dream that's bound to be awaken from...
a song that will be sung to the end...
a stage show with curtains to be closed...
an instance of time with a time limit...
a face that will grace the Earth only once...
but a fraction of Love that will never die.

The Reason

I'm not a perfect person ...There's many things I wish I didn't do
But I continue learning...I never meant to do those things to you
And so I have to say before I go....That I just want you to know
I've found out a reason for me...To change who I used to be
A reason to start over new...And the reason is you

I'm sorry that I hurt you...It's something I must live with everyday
And all the pain I put you through...I wish that I could take it all away
And be the one who catches all your tears...that's why I need you to hear
I've found a reason for me...To change who I used to be
A reason to start over new...And the reason is You [x4]

I'm not a perfect person...I never meant to do those things to you
And so I have to say before I go...That I just want you to know
I've found out a reason for me...To change who I used to be
A reason to start over new...And the reason is you
I've found out a reason to show...A side of me you didn't know

So far away

There stands a beautiful lotus...distant and isolated...in the stillness of the deep blue waters...so far away that he can't reach her...but he longs for only that Lotus...when so many lillies dwell at his arms reach...

Dedicated to my friend Deips...

Your senses

If I could I would walk your steps...
If I could I would cry your tears...
If I could I would see through your eyes...
If I could I would sing your song...
If I could I would talk your words...
If I could I would feel your heart...
If I could I would touch your touch...
If I could I would sway your move...
If I could I would beam your smile...
If I could I would waltz your dance...
If I could I would chuckle your laugh...

If I could I would hear your music...
If I could I would grin your smirk...
If I could I would carry your scent...
If I could I would shine your light...
If I could I would embrace your hug...
If I could I would stare your look...
If I could I would smooch your kiss...
If I could I would dress your style...
If I could I would gasp your breath...
If I could I would look your beauty...
If I could I would live your life...
But now that you're gone...I will treasure your memory.

Got any assets?

Today was a blog-blank day so I decided to ask you a question...yes once again :) What do you think is your best asset(s)? Whether it be a quality about you, a person you know, an item you posess or anything else, just write it down. The objective of this is for you to find out what your best asset(s) really is/are (in case you never realised it/them before) and by finding out what it is/they are, it/they may become real handy for you in future...because you may be able to use it/them better for your own self-development and for others' good too.

Influence

Monday, March 21

The flower in me...

I was once a dancing Daffodil...longing for your sensual rhythm...
I was once a bashful Daisy...basking in the glory of you...
I was once a thorny Rose...beauty in the midst of peril...
I was once an innocent Violet...yearning for an unbound love...
I was once a silent Tulip...wanting every inch of your soul...
I was once a wild Water-Lily...drowning in the river of lust...
I was once a bright red Marigold...craving for your sultry touch...
I was once a white Jasmine...my scent that you seeked so much...
I was once a Baby's Breath...trembling in your strong arms...
I was once a misty Lilac...seeking the dawn of your sensual smile...
I was once a steel Magnolia...passionate moments many I had...
I am now a desolate Lotus...floating till it's time to fade...

Celebrate Life

Guys I got the following words through an email and I put this picture together with it to emphasize the importance of Life...hope you derive something out of it that may affect your life in some good way...read the whole thing it's quite profound.

~~Today before you think of saying an unkind word...think of someone who can't speak...
Before you complain about the taste of your food...think of someone who has nothing to eat...
Before you complain about your husband or wife...think of someone who's crying out to God for a companion...
Today before you complain about life...think of someone who went too early to heaven...
Before you complain about your children...think of someone who desires children but they're barren...
Before you argue about your dirty house; someone didn't clean or sweep...think of the people who are living in the streets...
Before whining about the distance you drive...think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet...
And when you are tired and complain about your job...think of the unemployed, the disabled and those who wished they had your job....
But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another remember that not one of us are without sin and we all answer to one maker...
And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down put a smile on your face and thank God you're alive and still around...~~

Life is a gift
Live it...
Enjoy it...
Celebrate it...
And fulfil it.

Pride, Bride and Prejudice

Saw 'Bride and Prejudice' over the weekend. Thought it was a classic movie with a superb combination of desi and western habits. However if you're not Indian or do not know much about Indian culture you wouldn't particulary enjoy it as much as I did. What I could relate to was many a things in that movie. Here are some:

*How my mum too chats over coffee with her friends about how her daughers haven't found their men yet and how her home misses grandchildren running around...lol!
*How everyone in the house sits together at dinner and gossips about what not and who's getting married to who etc :)
*How my mum proposes boys for marriage and warns me that if I say NO to him she would never talk to me again..but she ends up talking to me anyways...hehe.
*How a young man will never be approved to stay over at our place because there are young unmarried girls in the house...duh!
*How I'm considered immoral if I talk to a boy without elders around me...jeeez!
*How talking intelligently is not very feminine therefore to keep quiet in front of proposed boys...hmmm.
*How my mum compliments me in front of eligible young men saying I haven't forgotten my origin though I live in Aus...haven't I mum? oh ok :)
*How desi marriage proposals give me nightmares thinking what if I end up being some desi granny serving aloo curry and rice to my husband for the rest of my life, clad in a big fat saree...scary thought!
*How mum sometimes sits in front of the PC logging into Desi matrimonial sites lollllllz!
*How pride and prejudice go hand in hand when it comes to marriage proposals...hehe.
*How a rich Indian engineer guy from the US is always THE most eligible bachelor as per desi mums, irrelevant of the fact that he could be a total idiot...
*How the bride should promise to treat her husband like God and dedicate her whole life to him even if that means having no life...ahemm..
*Last but not the least, how Indian culture bonds the families so beautifully and strongly that there is magic in the love they share...there is culture, discipline and beauty in it that no matter how funny or ridiculous our traits and customs can be, we reign richly in culture...

My Father

My father was the fittest I have ever known and if you met him you would never have imagined that he would be sick...he was tall, strong and an abundance of energy. But it happened...one Staurday morning he was dead...yes cold as ice and as rigid as wood...he was gone. He was only 44yrs old. It was the darkest day of my life. I remember my mum trying to wake him up as I and my sister were standing next to his bed, our eyes eager to see him wake up...but he didn't wake up...by that time he was far away...flying with the angels...gone with a one-way ticket to heaven. I remember my mum collapsing...we were scared and crying as if the skies fell upon us...a neighbour came in...one by one many came in...but my dad wasn't waking up...someone called up the emergency and they took him away...that was the last time he slept in that bed, in our home...I was still hoping he would come back alive...I never thought he was dead...I thought he was in some coma and that he will come back all smiles telling us that it was just a micro-sleep...instead later in the evening he came in a coffin...I remember not being able to comprehend that he was actually no more...yep, he was gone, never to come back...just like that.

All I have now is his memory...I remember my father's beautiful grin...the dimples...the fair skin...the tall handsome guy that everyone used to admire...the smile that warmed many hearts...the hands that helped a thousands...the heart that was made of gold...the way he never said No to anyone who came in search of his help...the way everyone respected him...the times when he would come in his car to pick us up from school...the way he touched my shoulders every now and then...the way he used to encourage me to help people...the way he used to sit on the sofa between me and my sister and hugged us both with his strong arms...the way he used to sing with his beautiful deep voice...his signature...the way he used to be so proud of me when I did well in exams...the way he used to attend every Prize Giving in school, sit there and clap not only when I got on stage but for every other prize winner...the beautiful dresses he bought me on my bdays...when he used to laugh aloud...how we used to watch war movies together...how he admired Clint Eastwood and Sean Connery...how he used to take our dog for a drive in his car...times when he used to go ballistic with mum...the way he drove me to my friends' bday parties...the way he asked what's for dinner...how he combed his hair...the way he beamed at me when I came home from school...how he always looked good...his fav Crocodile t-shrits...how he chilled with his friends over a beer or two...how he always wanted to know what we did and if everything was ok...his love for good music...times he played cricket with us...how he used to bring yummy take-away especially for my mum...the way he really enjoyed life no matter what till his last day on Earth...the way he used to be there...just be there...what happened to you that night?

Valentines Day?

Ahemm....Valentines Day is around the corner and everyone is talking about it. To be honest I don't make a big deal about it because I believe LOVE should be expressed all year around in all possible ways, not only on one day :) But I thought I would ask of your experiences on Val's days in the past...what you did the best...or what you received the best...or if it was just another lonely day, what did you feel on that day...how did you cope with seeing other girls carrying boquets of flowers home while you were the only chick on the train platform without any flowers?

Here are some of my experiences over the years...

One Val's day, I received a huge boquet of red roses, and I was sooo sure that it was from my bf :) And really, it wasn't him! I was wondering who sent the flowers...the most beautiful flowers I ever seen - guess who it was...it was my cousin and her husband...they thought I deserved it because I was such a great cousin?? Whoaaaa I was in big fat tears - I think that was sooo sweet!

Ok on another Val's day I left a huge red heart-shaped chocolate on my mum's bed before she came out of the shower...when she saw it, you should have seen the expression on her face! It was priceless...that's what I call a real Val's day gift for me is...her pure and heartfelt joy in that smile...

Now it's been 3yrs since I have been having lonely Val's days...sometimes I feel jeeez my love life sux...LOL! Sometimes I feel I can cope with being the only girl on the train platform with no flowers ...it's ok because I'm still loved by many, if not by a nagging boy friend :) And here in Aus people don't feel isolated on Val's day. Because almost all ladies receive flowers and chocolates by hot Aussie babesters ;-) in the shopping centres or anywhere in the streets if you happen to be there at the right time...hehehe...so I'll be there this year too :)

Please share your experineces with me...don't feel that you are the only one who loathes Val's day...we've all known the feeling at some stage :)

LOVE is...

What are we today?

Civil wars killing millions, they say it is to obtain peace someday?
If it so when will that day arrive and what about the people we lost?
Turn the TV on and bloodshed you see, suicide bombings, bloody carnage...
How did young minds become so heartless to strap bombs around them?
Politicians clueless, power hungry, racist and ruthlessly inhumane...
How did they come into power and do they know what they are doing?
As collateral damage it's ok to kill women and children, did they say?
But what about their rights, their will to live, their stolen life span?
Young men dying, widowed women crying, homes lost and lives changed...
How can we allow the future of the world to be destroyed this way?
Color of skin defines us, religions don't agree, hatred and murder breeds...
Cant we believe in the brotherhood of man and hold one another's hands?
Too many high paying jobs but so many lonely people, looking for love...
Why is it so hard these days to express that beautiful emotion called love?
Dollar rises and hunger grows, AIDS, Tsunamis and felony join forces...
Why cant so much money be shared for health, goodwill and peace?
No more valuable family times, until one day it is too late to say Im sorry...
How can you hate your parents or siblings and live by yourself?

Where is the love, was it replaced by a flat screen TV or a sports car?
We are prisoners of high technology, free of intangible qualities...
We are prisoners of hatred, money, power and material gain...
We are a mean, egoistic, greedy, selfish, racist bunch of criminals...

Yes, that's what we are today...

Tamally Ma'ak

Tamally Ma'ak is my favoutite song of all times. It's a beautiful Arabic song with a beautiful meaning...it was recently re-done by Amir Jawal in Hindi - Kaho Na Kaho - a hit in the movie Murder. But nothing can beat the original Arabic version performed by Amir Diab.

Go to http://www.aramusic.com/htmls/emi264.htm and listen to Tamally Ma'ak in the list of songs...it is the 2nd last song in the list. You will know what I mean..it's just out of this world!

Meaning:

Whether you speak or not, your eyes say it all,
o darling, o darling, o my darling.
In the journey of love, this is my support,
this is the shore of fidelity.
Whether you speak or not, your eyes say it all,
o darling, o darling, o my darling.
In the journey of love, this is my support,
this is the shore of fidelity.
(Those eyes) whose flight soars above the clouds,
whose powers of discrimination are like no other's,
are destined for a story of love,
destined to breathe of love.
(Those eyes) whose flight soars above the clouds,
whose powers of discrimination are like no other's,
are destined for a story of love,
destined to breathe of love.
I'm always with you, even when you're far from me.
In my heart is your love.
I'm always with you.
You're in my mind and in my heart; I can't forget you.
I always miss you,
even when I'm with you.
Whether you speak or not, your eyes speak for you.
o darling, o darling, o my darling;
in this journey of love, you are mine;
on dark paths, you are my guiding star.
You are my support in life,
the shore on which I break.
For me, you are the whole world;
it is you whom my heart has called.
Whether you speak or not, your breath speaks for you,
o darling, o darling, o my darling;
on your lips is my name alone.
Your heart knows too that you are mine.
Whether you speak or not, your eyes speak for you,
o darling, o darling, o my darling;
they are my encouragement in this journey of love,
they show me the far shores of fidelity.
In dreams, I adorn you;
my fantasies are all of you.
Wherever my eyes look,
I see only your face.
In dreams, I adorn you;
my fantasies are all of you.
Wherever my eyes look,
I see only your face.
In dreams, I adorn you;
my fantasies are all of you.
Wherever my eyes look,
I see only your face.
In dreams, I adorn you;
my fantasies are all of you.
Wherever my eyes look,
I see only your face.

Hi my name is Keshi...

Have you ever introduced YOU to YOURSELF? We all have our personalities, who we think we are or how we think the rest of the world sees us. But do you really know who you are or what your loved ones and friends perceive you as?
Why I thought of writing a post about this is due to a confusion that happened between me and a good friend last week. She was an awesome friend of mine for the past 4 years. I thought she knew me well and I thought I knew her well too. But from what happened it seems like she didnt really know who I am...at the same time, I felt I havent known her all that well either, though I thought I did. Was it that we both portrayed ourselves to be something else when we were really not that? Or was it that we were not really seeing what the other person was? Or was it that we don't even know who we really are?
So I thought I should introduce myself to me :> Get to know me a little bit better, so that I know what I am to myself and to the rest of the world. So here I go...
Hi, my name is Keshi. I'm a fiercly independant, no-nonsense, friendly chick...I 'm extremely sensitive and gullible, yes gullible because I give my heart to everyone and get it back in pieces...I wish I was tougher so I wouldn't get hurt so easily...I like wild flowers, fragrances and scented candles...I admire beautiful people and beautiful hearts...I think Love will cure us all...I have faith in God but I have a lot of questions for Him too...I like lazy Sundays and sipping hot coffee...I'm very upfront hence unpopular among some people...others love me to death...I like dancing, singing and gossipping with my mom...I like to dress up and look sexy ;-) I don't give a damn about people who carry a fat ego...and I tell them so...I think I'm careless in petty matters but I do have a decent sense of responsibility and respect all up...I'm very apologetic if I do something wrong but I don't easily give in either...I can be extremely stubborn, my mum told me this so I must be...I cry easily and then put on a big fat smile and walk around like nothing happened...I value freedom and individuality...I have no time for people's bullshit...I went to a Methodist school so discipline is a must...trust me, only your parents will love you unconditionally, there are no Shahrukh Khans in the real world...I believe in both love and lust at first sight hehehe...I believe in intangible service to fellowmen such as a smile and assurace of love and trust...I believe in you, my friend who reads my post with glee...
Thanks and now you tell me WHO you think you are...and whether I am what you thought I am... :)
Keshi ofcourse...

New Year New Thoughts...

Hello All!

I'm back! HAPPY NEW YEAR to all!! Hope everyone is safe and enjoying this fresh year. My apologies for the long silence. I have been on holidays and here I am back in blog blogssoming :)

With the terrible Tsunami starting off the year, please let us think of all those who were lost and affected. This horrible disaster portrays man's inability to fight mother nature, no matter how prepared we may think we are. I believe this is a consequence of us abusing nature. Have you noticed how people are so different in the 21st century. Husbands and wives don't get along...children don't see their parents except on a public holiday...brothers sisters hate each other...true friends so rare...neighbors don't talk...communities disagree...racist wars...countries clash...corruption...bombs...pollution! How would you expect nature to react with all that negative energy around? Nature is sensitive just like a human being. You treat her nice you earn a smile from her... you treat her harsh, you see her tears...

With this in mind, start the New Year with Love...love one another and start that with your family. For if you love your family, you'll learn to love your neighbour, and if you love your neighbour, you will learn to be at peace with the community...and if there's peace within communities, there will be peace in the country...if there's peace in all countries, there will be peace in the world...if there's peace in the world, mother nature will be at peace with us.

Cheers!
Keshi.
